Pastor Jason Princer has been in full time Christian Ministry for over 25 years. He has pastored in Iowa and Illinois, worked in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry, and served as a Hospice Chaplain. While pastoring Community UMC in South Elgin, he will continue to serve as Associate Pastor at Journey of Hope UMC in Bartlett and Elgin.
Jason was born in Michigan and grew up in central Iowa. They have two sons, Ryan and Andy. Andy is married to Renee and Ryan is engaged to Kristin. Jason & Kris also have one dog, Sierra. Jason enjoys walking, reading, cooking. He and Kris enjoy competing in trivia and bingo nights in the area.
My favorite part of ministry is getting to hear the stories of other people. Whether they are church members, visitors, neighbors, or strangers, everyone has a story. I love to explore where and how people see God in their story and how they have experienced God’s presence in their life. Second to hearing peoples’ stories, is having the privilege of praying with people. In person, on the phone, in a text or email, prayer is one of the most powerful ways we interact with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
